About This Drug
Acebutolol is an antihypertensive drug (type, beta-blocker) used primarily to treat mild-to-moderate high blood pressure (hypertension) and abnormal heart rhythms.
Acebutolol, like other beta-blockers, reduces the rate and force of the heart’s contractions, which results in lower blood pressure. It helps ease some heart rhythm problems by slowing down the nerve impulses that move through the heart.
