Side Effects
Acetaminophen rarely causes side effects when taken as directed. If you do develop side effects, stop taking the drug and contact your health-care practitioner immediately.
- If Taken Long-Term or in Large Doses: liver damage, itching, fever, rash, low blood sugar, yellowing of the whites of the eyes or the skin, changes in the composition of your blood
- Rare: allergic reactions (difficulty breathing, hives, rash, swelling)
