About This Drug
Albendazole is an anthelmintic, which means it kills parasitic intestinal worms. It is used to treat infections of the nervous system that are caused by tapeworms from pigs and cysts caused by tapeworms from dogs.
This drug disrupts the normal functioning of tapeworms, causing them to die and pass out of the body in feces.
