If you experience adverse reactions while taking albendazole, contact your health-care practitioner immediately. She or he can decide whether you should continue with treatment.
- Common: inflamed liver, headache, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting
- Less Common: dizziness, fainting, hair loss (reverses when the drug is stopped), increased pressure in the head
- Rare: fever, drop in blood cell count, itching, rash, kidney failure, drug allergy
