Side Effects
Tell your health-care practitioner about any side effects you may experience when using aspirin. Your health-care practitioner will let you know if it is safe for you to continue taking this drug.
- Most Common: rash, nasal discharge, stomach irritation, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, ringing in the ears, drowsiness
- Less Common or Rare: insomnia, bruising, fever, weakness, sore throat, abnormal bleeding. Symptoms of Reye’s syndrome, a rare but serious disorder that affects children 16 years and younger, include vomiting, agitation, extreme fatigue, confusion, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, itching, and redness of the face. Seek immediate medical attention.
