How to Store Bread
The best ways to store bread depend on whether it’s uncut, cut, or sliced. No matter how you’re storing bread, it’s best to keep it wrapped to keep it from drying out.
- Uncut loaf of bread: An uncut loaf of traditional bread will keep for a few days in a cool place.
- Cut loaf of bread: Once a loaf has been cut, place it face down on a wood or marble surface.
- Sliced bread: Sliced bread can be stored in a plastic bag for no more than 5–7 days at room temperature.
Freezing Bread
Bread stands up very well to freezing and will keep for about 2 months in the freezer.
