About This Drug
Butalbital/acetaminophen/caffeine is a combination nonnarcotic analgesic used to treat headache and migraine that do not respond to nonprescription pain relievers.
Butalbital is a barbiturate that causes sedation and relieves pain; acetaminophen interferes with prostaglandins, naturally occurring substances that cause inflammation; and caffeine enhances the effectiveness of pain relievers.
