About This Drug
Butalbital/aspirin/caffeine is a combination of a barbiturate (butalbital) and an analgesic (aspirin) used to relieve migraine and headache.
Butalbital is a barbiturate that causes sedation and relieves pain; aspirin interferes with prostaglandins, naturally occurring substances that cause inflammation; and caffeine enhances the effectiveness of pain relievers.
