Brief History of Casino
Casino is an Italian game with similarities to an earlier game called scopa. References to the game began to appear in English literature in the late 18th century, and the game gained popularity in the United States at the end of the 19th century.
Casino is part of the fishing family of card games. In these games, players use cards from their hand to capture cards from a group of face-up cards on the table. If the player is unable to capture any card, he or she must add a card from his or her hand to the face-up cards. Go Fish is the most basic and well-known of the fishing games.
