Getting Started

The stitch pattern in the body of this poncho showcases the two distinct yarns—a chenille blend and a variegated nylon fur. The fringe brings the yarns together in a celebration of color and fiber.

Skill Level

  • Intermediate

You Will Need

  • Color A, 4 balls of nylon/acrylic chenille blend
  • Color B, 3 balls 100% nylon, 1.75oz/50g = 103yd/94m
  • Crochet hook size M-13US/9mm or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Yarn needle

Gauge

  • 2 shells in pattern = 4"/10cm; 8 rows in pattern = 4"/10cm.
  • Always take time to check your gauge.

Pattern Note

  • Pattern is worked over a multiple of 5 + 4 sts.

Stitches Used

  • Chain stitch (ch)
  • Single crochet (sc)
  • Double crochet (dc)
  • Slip stitch (sl st)

Finished Size

  • One size fits most adults, 24"/61cm long from shoulder to center front point
