Getting Started
This hat is worked in spiraling rounds. Note: Do not join rounds. Use a stitch marker to indicate the first stitch in a round, moving it up at the beginning of each round.

You Will Need
- 165yd/151m bulky flat ribbon yarn

- Hook: 6.5mm/K-10 1/2 or size needed to obtain gauge
- 2 buttons
- Yarn needle
Stitches Used
- Chain Stitch (ch)
- Half Double Crochet (hdc)
- Slip Stitch (sl st)
Gauge
- First 3 rnds = 2-3⁄4" in diameter
- 12 sts = 4"
- 8 rows in pattern = 4"
Pattern Notes
- Work stitches of crown (through rnd 13) in back loops (BL) only. Work stitches of brim (rnds 14–17) in front loops (FL) only.
