Getting Started

The purse body is worked with two strands of yarn held together. The shoulder strap is worked with a single strand of yarn.

  • Experienced Beginner

You Will Need

  • 350yd/320m of worsted weight suede ribbon yarn in medium green
  • Hook, 6mm/J-10 or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Yarn needle
  • 6-1⁄2" wide/17cm piece of heavy cardboard

Gauge

  • Always take time to check your gauge.
  • 13 hdc = 4"/10cm
  • 8 rows = 4"/10cm

Stitches Used

  • Chain (ch)
  • Half double crochet (hdc)
  • Slip stitch (sl st)

Materials Used in the Featured Tote

  • 2 balls of Berroco’s Suede, 100% nylon, 1.75oz/50g = 120yd/111m, in color #3716, maverick

Finished Measurements

  • 8" wide x 9" tall with 6" fringe/20cm x 23cm with 15cm fringe
