Getting Started
Not all totes are created equal. Look around for the ideal bag—one that best suits your needs. Adding an artful arrangement of felt appliqués will give you a great excuse to practice your blanket stitch.

Materials
- Scrap paper
- 4 pieces of felt, measuring 9" x 12" (23 x 30 cm) each in a different color
- 1 denim tote bag
- 1 skein of black cotton pearl embroidery floss
- Iron-on adhesive (ultra bond for felt)
- Fabric glue
- 1 package of multicolor sequin bangles
Tools & Supplies
- 4 assorted round objects, ranging from 1" to 3-1/2" (2.5 to 9 cm) in diameter
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Straight pins
- Large-eye embroidery needle
- Ruler
- Iron and ironing board
