  • Remedy: Spray leaf undersides and any active aphids with insecticide.

Earwigs

  • Symptoms: Plants have holes or appear skeletal.
  • Remedy: Thoroughly hand-pick all earwigs off of the plant.

Fungus Gnats

  • Traits: Winged, grayish, gnatlike insects in soil and on leaves.
  • Symptoms: Wilting or, in young plants, stunted growth.
  • Remedy: Spray with insecticide.

Mealy Bugs

  • Traits: Small, white, fluffy-looking insects on leaves.
  • Symptoms: Wilted or yellow leaves.
  • Remedy: Wipe off with a damp cloth or spray with household insecticide.

Spider Mites
