French Pleat Napkin Fold

1. Fold the napkin in quarters. Orient it so that the open corner is at the top right.
    
   
2. Roll down the top layer of fabric diagonally to the left and down, stopping at the napkin’s middle.
    
   
3. Fold (don’t roll) the next layer of fabric under the first, creating a cascade effect.
    
   
4. Fold the third layer of fabric under the second.
    
   
5. Flip the napkin over and fold in the sides, so that the napkin is in thirds.
    
   
6. Flip the napkin back over and slip silverware inside the pocket.
