Gift Wrapping Supplies

Keep the following supplies on hand so you’ll be prepared to wrap gifts for any occasion.
  • Gift wrap: Wrapping paper is available in a wide array of colors, patterns, and textures. You can buy gift wrap in sheets or rolls at any card, stationery, or craft supply store, or online through specialty vendors such as www.containerstore.com and www.papyrusonline.com.

  • Tissue paper: This thin, translucent paper, available in many colors and patterns, is used either as a decorative element or as a cushion inside gift boxes and bags. It’s sold almost anywhere you can find gift wrap.

  • Tape: Though single-sided tape adheres just as well, double-sided tape is ideal for gift wrapping because it can be easily hidden, making for a neat and professional presentation. Scotch® brand tape has an array of styles to choose from, including their convenient pop-up tape dispenser, at www.scotchbrand.com.

  • Scissors or paper cutter: Scissors are the standard tool for cutting gift wrap to size. But you can make faster and more precise cuts using a Scotch® brand paper cutter, which you maneuver with one hand while holding the paper taut with the other.

  • Bows and ribbons: Use decorative embellishments, such as bows and ribbons, to customize each gift that you wrap. They can be purchased in any card, stationery, or craft supply store, or online through specialty vendors such as www.ribbonsandbowsohmy.com.

  • Gift tags: Instead of a greeting card, just attach a gift tag to each present after you wrap it and write your name and the recipient’s name on the tag.
