Instructions
Making the Basic Links
- Cut the 22-gauge wire into 13 lengths, 1-1⁄4" (4.5 cm) each. Make a wrapped loop at the end of the wire. Slide on an 8mm bead and form a second wrapped loop at the other end. Trim off any excess wire. Repeat with all of the remaining 8mm beads and five of the heart-shaped beads (reserve one heart-shaped bead).
- Cut eight lengths of 14-gauge wire, 1-1⁄4" (3.2 cm) each, and form figure-eight-shaped links by curving one end of the wire in toward the center, around the round-nose pliers, and then curving the other end in toward the center in the opposite direction. Repeat this seven times with the remaining wire.
- Cut four lengths of 14-gauge wire, 3-1⁄2" (8.9 cm) each, and form large, figure-eight-shaped links by repeating step 2, but this time curve the wire into a point about 1⁄8" (3 mm) away from the center.
Using the Jigs
- Cut six lengths of 14-gauge wire, each 4-1⁄4" (10.8 cm), and use the jig pattern shown in figure 1 to form links. Trim off any excess wire.

- Cut four lengths of 14-gauge wire, each 4-1⁄4" (10.8 cm), and use the jig pattern shown in figure 2 to form links. Trim off any excess wire.

- Cut a 15" (38 cm) length of 14-gauge wire and use the jig pattern shown in figure 3 to form the flower shape. Cut a 2" (5 cm) length of 22-gauge wire and thread it through the remaining heart-shaped bead, then secure the bead to the center of the flower with several wraps around the wire petals on the back side. Trim off any excess wire.

Assembling the Links
- Assemble the links in the following order: four small figure-eight-shaped links from step 2, and one link from step 4. Attach one 8mm bead link, one large figure-eight link from step 3, one 8mm bead link, and another link from step 4. Add one heart-shaped bead link, one link from step 5, a heart-shaped bead link, and a link from step 4. Add another 8mm bead link, one large figure-eight link from step 3, and another 8mm bead link. Finish by adding another link from step 5. Repeat the entire series to form the other half of the necklace.
- Cut a 2-1⁄2" length of 14-gauge wire. Thread the remaining heart-shaped wire link onto the wire, then cross the wires at the center point. Form a loop at either end of the wire and attach the step-5-link end of each chain to the loop.
- Slide the lower end of the heart-shaped link drop onto the loop at the top of the flower. Add clasp findings at the end of the necklace.
- Check for loose connecting links and tighten as needed.
