Assembling the Necklace
- Use the beading wire to string one crimp bead, one crystal pearl bead, and half of the clasp. Pass back through the crystal pearl bead and the crimp bead, leaving a 1" (2.5 cm) tail. Snug the beads and crimp the crimp bead. Cut the tail wire close to the crimp.
- String one amethyst 4mm bicone bead, one green flower bead from inside-to-outside, one small amethyst flower bead from inside-to-outside, one crystal pearl bead, one light amethyst 6mm bead, one stick pearl bead, one round pearl bead, one purple size 11° seed bead, two stick pearl beads, and one dark amethyst 6 mm bead.
- String one stick pearl bead, one dangle A, one dangle B, one stick pearl bead, one olive 4mm bicone bead, one dangle C, one dangle D, one light amethyst 6 mm bead, one stick pearl bead, one dangle E, one dangle F, one stick pearl bead, one olive 4mm bicone bead, one dangle G, one dangle C, and one cube. Repeat the sequence four more times to make five repetitions in all.
- String one stick pearl bead, one dangle A, and one dangle B.
- Repeat step 3 in reverse to string the other side of the necklace.
- String one crimp bead, one crystal pearl bead, and the other half of the clasp. Pass back through the crystal pearl bead and the crimp bead.
- Before crimping, hold the necklace up by the unfinished end. Use your fingers to adjust the beads so they sit nicely together, with little or no gaps between each. To make sure the beads are settled, but not strung too tightly, let the piece coil gently into your hands. If this movement isn’t fluid, loosen the spacing a bit to reduce the tension on the beading wire. This will not only help with drape and comfort while you’re wearing it, but will also help avoid wire abrasion and breakage.
- Crimp the crimp bead. Trim any excess wire close to the crimp.
