Pink opaque stones are rare in the gem world, so the opals from Peru used in this project are particularly unique and eye-catching. Adding small heishi pearls both mirrors and softens the organic texture of the large nuggets.

- 11 pink opal nuggets
- 30 natural top-drilled pink heishi pearls
- 20 small silver Bali flower spacers
- 2 small pink opal nuggets
- 6 natural top-drilled pink heishi pearls
- 2 silver 2mm crimp beads
- 4 silver 3mm beads with large holes
- 2 jump rings, each 6mm in diameter
- Silver S-hook clasp with 2" (5 cm) chain extender
- 8 silver 2-1⁄2" (6.4 cm) head pins
- 22" flexible beading wire
- 2 lengths of silver chain, each 3⁄4" (1.9 cm) long
- 2 silver French ear wires

- Flat-nose pliers
- Crimping pliers
- Round-nose pliers
- Wire cutters
Finished Length
- Necklace, 16" (40.6 cm) with a 2" (5 cm) extender
- Earrings, 1-1⁄2" (3.8 cm)
