Getting Started
This beautiful necklace features a focal lampwork set off by vermeil beads. Lampwork beads are created by bead artists by working hot glass rods over a flame. Once made using the flame of a lamp (hence the name), most artists today work over a propane torch. Lampwork beads are known for their wonderful colors and the interesting swirls and dots of glass that texture their surface. Vermeil is the name for sterling silver that has been electroplated with gold.
