Getting Started
Adding a lining gives the bag a nice finished look, and the cord closure can be decorated with large beads, such as the two lampworked sheep shown in this project.

Material
- Approximately 220 yd/202 m of heavy-weight yarn
- Approximately 1,000 4mm wooden beads
- Approximately 500 6mm wooden beads
- 2 large accent beads for tassel on pull closure
- 1 yd/1 m of upholstery fabric for lining
- 8 ft/2.45 m of decorative cord for pull closure
- 20"/51 cm of 1⁄2"/1.5 cm cotton cord for piping along bottom edge and side edges
- Size F beading thread
Tools & Supplies
- Sewing needle and thread to sew beadwork in place
- Tapestry needle for sewing seams together
- Size 10-1⁄2 (6.5 mm), 29"/74 cm circular needle, or size to obtain gauge
- Size 10 beading needle
- Stitch marker

- Stockinette stitch
Gauge
- Always take time to check your gauge.
- 14 sts = 4"/10 cm
- 19 rows = 4"/10 cm

- 2 skeins of Reynold’s Lopi, 100% Icelandic wool, 3.5 oz/100 g, 110 yd/99 m, in color #453, Cocoa Tweed.

- 13"/33 cm high, 16"/40.5 cm wide, 5"/12.5 cm deep
