Getting Started
The most challenging part of making these socks is getting the stitches cast on. After that, they zip by on two circular needles, and there’s no finishing except for weaving in the ends. Because there’s little foot shaping, both styles are very easy to make. Use machine-washable yarn for easy care and durability.

- 2 circular needles, 3.75mm (Size 5 U.S.) 16"/41cm long or size to obtain gauge
- 2 circular needles, 3.5mm (Size 4 U.S.) 16"/41cm long for leg
- Darning needle for weaving in ends

- Approximate total, 48 (60, 72, 84, 96)yd/44 (55, 66, 77, 88)m washable chunky wool yarn in variegated neutrals
- 3.75mm (Size 5 U.S.) double-pointed needles or size to obtain gauge

- Small circular frame for the muttluks, such as a jar lid
