Getting Started
At first glance, making the bobbles on this charming pillbox may seem like a complicated and time-consuming process. But give it a try—you’ll find that they’re fun to make and the texture they add to your design is well worth the effort. This hat is knit in the round using three double-pointed needles.

- Medium: 20" to 21"/51 to 53cm
- Large: 22" to 23"/56 to 58cm
You Will Need
- Approx 120(130)yd/110(119)m heavy worsted weight yarn
- 5.25mm (size 9 U.S.) dpn and 16"/41cm cn or size to obtain gauge
- Stitch marker
- 3 double-pointed knitting needles (dpn)
- Darning needle
Gauge
- 16 sts = 4"/10 cm
- Always check gauge.
Materials Used in Featured Hats
The hats featured in this project were knitted with Blue Sky Alpacas’ Heavy Worsted Alpaca, 50% alpaca/50% wool, 3-1/2oz/100g = 100yd/91m
- 2 balls, color #2005 (butter)
- 2 balls, color #2008 (pink)
