Getting Started

To make this reindeer, you’ll need to start by making what’s known as the preliminary fold. It’s the basis for many origami projects. Make it by valley-folding the paper vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. Pull two of the opposite corners together and fold them between the two remaining corners, as shown in the following three photos.
