Side Effects
Side effects such as dizziness are most common when you first start taking prazosin. However, if any side effects become persistent or severe, speak to your health-care practitioner. Only he or she can determine whether it is safe for you to continue taking this drug.
- Common: drowsiness, dizziness, headache, weakness, lack of energy, nausea, heart palpitations
- Less Common or Rare: dizziness upon standing, fainting, vertigo, shortness of breath, confusion, nervousness, depression, blurred vision, red eyes, constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth, nasal congestion, fluid retention, frequent urination, nosebleeds, rash, ringing in ears, pins and needles, painful erection, impotence, urinary problems, joint pain, rapid heartbeat
