This project guides you through the process of creating a set of silk pillows ornamented with buttons.

Materials for Green Envelope Flap Pillow
- Approximately 3/4 yard (68.5 cm) of silk dupioni
- Approximately 1/8 yard (11.5 cm) of contrasting silk dupioni
- Pillow form, 12" x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm)

Materials for Scalloped-Edge Pillow
- Approximately 3/4 yard (68.5 cm) of silk dupioni

Tools & Supplies
- Templates found at the end of the instructions
- Scissors
- Iron and ironing board
- Sewing machine
- Thread to match both fabrics
- Silk pins
Silk pins have thin shafts and fine points that leave less of a mark on fine silk fabrics. Invest in some silk pins to use when you’re sewing with delicate material.
Finished Sizes for Both Pillows
- Approximately 12" x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm)
Seam Allowance
- Use 1/4" (6 mm) seam allowance.
