Materials
- Pillow form with flat sides, 15" (38.1 cm)
- 6 assorted print cotton fabrics, 1⁄4 yard (21.6 cm) each
- Paper-backed fusible web
- 6 assorted ribbons, rickrack, and trim
- Invisible thread
- Matching thread
- 10 to 12 glass beads or buttons
- 1⁄2 yard (45.7 cm) striped upholstery fabric
- 3 yards (2.7 m) of cord for piping
- 1⁄2 yard (45.7 cm) more of one of the print cotton fabrics for the piping
- 1 yard (91 cm) quilt batting
- 1 yard (91 cm) light colored embroidery floss
- 2 covered buttons, 1-1⁄4" (3.2 cm)
Tools & Supplies
- Zipper foot
- Spray adhesive
- Rotary cutter and mat
- Measuring tape and ruler
- Sharp sewing scissors (for fabric)
- Sharp fine-tipped scissors (for detailed work)
- Fabric-marking pen or pencil and tailor’s chalk
- Straight pins
- Embroidery needle (long with large eye)
- Hand-sewing needles
- Sewing machine
- Seam ripper
- Iron and ironing board
