21. Turn Downward to Deflect, Parry, and Punch
- Begin in last position of form 20.
- Inhaling, lean back and turn right, left toes inward. Lift hands to eye level, palms out.
- Raise right heel and shift left. Make loose fist with right hand and drop hand down to waist level about one foot right of hip. Move left hand, palm down, across face.
- Bring right foot beside left. Place right fist on chest behind left hand.
- Exhaling, turn right. Raise right fist toward chin and lower left hand, palm down.
- Kick right foot out, heel down. Push right fist forward. Lower left hand to hip.
- Place right foot flat on floor and shift weight forward. Lift up left heel.
- Move right fist toward waist and lift left arm up past eye level.
- Bend right elbow in preparation for punching.
- Kick left foot forward so just heel touches ground.
- Lean forward onto left leg and begin punch.
- Punch out with right hand. Move left hand back when right arm is fully extended.
